These boots are made for walking – into the next season

There are many signs anticipating the colder season: the crisp air of early fall mornings, the warm hues of browning foliage, the pumpkin-spice flavoured variations of all coffee-based beverages. But a true fashionista knows that lower temperatures mean only one thing: it’s boot time, henney!

Our 12 million monthly users have already started stacking up on fall staples like boots (and coats) during the warmer months, and by observing their shopping behaviour, Stylight was able to identify the 2018 trends that are definitely done (bye Felicia!) and the 2019 trends that you will want to keep an eye on and two feet in.

Lace-Up Boots

Lace it up

The lace up boot, already trending in 2018, will be really booming in 2019. Clicks on this victorian-style bootie have grown by +90.56% vs 2018. Pointy models of the lace-up boots are particularly in demand: who knew the style icon of A/W 2019 would be the Wicked Witch of the West?

Sayonara, sock boot

Socks boots were all the rage last year, partly due to the wide-spread popularity it quickly gained among celebs (we’re lookin’ at you, Kim K.). But it looks like shoppers are getting weary of the sock-shoe crossover, as clicks on this bootie style have dropped by -83% vs 2018.

Cowboy Boots

Howdy partner!

It’s official: 2019 has made it socially acceptable to run around in cowboy boots outside of rodeos or the state of Arizona. Clicks on this boot style have grown by a whopping +175% vs 2018. It’s only fair we finally give Madonna circa “Music era” her due credit.

Biker Boots_

Your ride is over

In most recent history, biker boots have been THE cool girl shoe, as the trend has dominated both fast-fashion and high-end design. Yet the rider bootie seems to have lost its momentum: users have lost interest in this style of boots, as clicks have dropped by -58.77% vs last year.

It’s MOUnderful

It’s safe to say that Eskimos know best how to keep your feet warm in freezing temperatures. So it’s no wonder that these Eskimo-inspired booties are one of the most wanted shoes of the season: the boot saw an increase in clicks by 88.13% vs last year.

Ugh… Uggs

Just like bad haircuts and exes, UGG boots are one of those things that always come back to haunt you. Paris Hilton’s most beloved shoe had a short comeback in 2018, but has now dropped in clicks by -70,43%.The good news? Nobody will be judging you if you still use them as slippers..
