Birkenstocks, you love them or you hate them, but one thing is for sure: the brand is once again on everyone’s lips, adorning the feet of all the it-girls and fashionistas.
The German trend sandal is once again experiencing a real boom, as evidenced by its growing popularity online. The Birkenstock brand, which boasted a 31% increase in clicks on Stylight over the summer (when comparing March to April vs. June to August), is now ready to conquer autumn with style.
While luxury brands such as Prada, Chanel and Louis Vuitton launched their own models inspired by Birkenstock in the summer, Birkenstock itself is designing models that are now particularly hip in fall of 2020. The famous fur model, Arizona, as well as the iconic clog model, Boston, already appear to be among the biggest autumn trends. The Boston model specifically has experienced a 225% increase in interest over the last 3 months, according to Google Trends.
Birkenstock x Stüssy Collaboration
After several successful collaborations with designers like Valentino, Proenza Schouler and Rick Owens, Birkenstock launched a limited edition collection in collaboration with the American streetwear brand, Stüssy, on July 24, 2020. Since the launch of the limited Birkenstock x Stüssy collection, clicks on Stüssy have increased by 327% on Stylight (when comparing the last week of July vs. last week of August, where the peak of interest was mid-August).
