This past year has undoubtedly been a whirlwind; many of us have had to adjust to working from home, and we have all noticed that work-life balance has been especially tricky to maintain. That’s why we reached out to our yogis at Stylight for some tips for how to handle working remotely. These are some of their suggestions:
1. Set clear boundaries between working hours and leisure time by having a dedicated home office space that doesn’t overlap with your everyday living spaces.
2. Disconnect physically and mentally from work by practicing mindfulness through meditation or breathing exercises.
3. Make plans after work; whether you set a time to call a friend or family member, tune into an online class or set aside time for yourself to enjoy a good book or podcast, making set plans ensures you’re taking the time you need for yourself.
